Riverine Warfare / Brownwater Navy
Introduction
The purpose of this website is to assist researchers in locating Vietnam War Riverine Warfare materials located within the Vietnam Archive collections and, more importantly, digitized materials currently available online. Because the Vietnam Archive receives new collection donations every day, researchers should return to this site frequently to find newly donated and recently digitized historical materials.
Additionally, we have developed an online submission system designed to collect, preserve, and provide access to both historical materials and first-hand accounts of tactical and operational lessons learned from Vietnam War veterans who served in Riverine Warfare in Southeast Asia. It is our hope that current and future generations of Americans can learn lessons from our Vietnam War combat veterans that are appropriately applicable to contemporary and future operational environments.
This will be a work in progress and we welcome your feedback on how we can make this a better resource. Please submit your comments to the Vietnam Archive Webmaster.
